My name is Max, and this is Rantaroni, a blog of my (probably-incorrect) opinions. The name is a portmanteau of “rant” and “macaroni”: the former because I enjoy a good rant and the latter because it’s delicious. The site doesn’t have a logo yet, but just imagine the possibilities when a macaroni noodle sits down at a keyboard to write.

As for the content, most (but not all!) topics will originate from my experience as a software engineer. I wrote my first HTML page almost twenty years ago, and I’ve had a wide variety of experiences in the decades that followed. I’ve seen common pitfalls and patterns emerge, and I believe others can benefit from the lessons I’ve learned. I hope you find something convincing in what I write, but if you don’t, I hope you’ll share your own perspective with me (just email any address at this domain). Maybe I’ll enjoy reading a good rant as much as I enjoy writing one!
